Ever since I've started playing lacrosse, I have loved the sport. Every year I set new goals for myself so my skills will improve. Whether it is playing outside in the backyard, or being determined to join that new, more competitive lacrosse team; I always work hard. When I think about college, I think about lacrosse. My college decision really depends on where I am able to play lacrosse and where my lacrosse ability will be challenged and improved.
Athletically, I am very inclined. I have played competitive soccer since 7th grade, and have made it to the state championships several times for my high school team. Spring of my freshmen year, my NEFC club soccer team won our entire division.
Moving onto high school sports, I have been a varsity player for every season, in every sport and I will be receiving 12 varsity letters by the end on my high school career. I made the varsity soccer team as a freshmen, where we won the South Coast Championship, and made it into the second round in the States Championships. Finalizing my season, I was awarded the "Rising Star Award", which is the equivalent to the MVP award, for freshman. My sophomore year, my soccer team once again made it to the second round of States. My junior year I was named captain for the varsity team. As a freshman, I also made varsity for winter indoor track. March of my sophomore and junior year I competed in the New Balance Nationals in New York City, for the shuttle hurdle relay.
Finally, on to lacrosse. As a freshman I was the lead goal scorer on my varsity team, and also did the face offs every game. At the end of my season, I got awarded the Coaches Award, which is the highest, most prestigious award; which signifies leadership, ability, and character. In addition, I was selected to be on the South Coast Conference All-Star Team. I was named caption as a junior in lacrosse as well. After two season I scored my 100th goal my junior year and made the Standard Times All-Star Team and Super Team.
Winter of my sophomore year, I was selected to be one of two girls who would represent all female athletes in my entire school; in the 27th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day.
Academically... I currently have a 3.88 GPA and have made Highest Honors and Honor Roll every term/year. I have always maintained all A's with some B's. I try not to let my grades go below a B+.
I was also one of 16 students chosen to represent my school at the MIAA / Camp Edwards Challenge Workshop. This was an Obstacle Course in which we presented our leadership skills and athletic ability, as well as interact with other students within the South Coast Conference.
Lastly, I am also involved in the AFS club and the Environmental club at school.
Thank you for your interests in me and your efforts in helping me succeed with my college dreams.
