Kaitlin Prince '15 Recruiting Profile

“And starting at center-mid, sophomore Kaitlin Prince.” Throughout my childhood my biggest dream had always been to hear those eight words, and now that’s become a reality. I started playing lacrosse in 2nd grade on the 3rd and 4th grade team because that was the youngest team in my town. My whole life I’ve lived in Scarborough Maine and I now start for 3 time defending Class A state Champion Scarborough High school team. Lacrosse is one of my passions in life. I was born to love it. My father played lacrosse in high school and at Middlebury College and my brother played since he was in 4th grade and he won two state Class A titles with Scarborough. Together they pushed me and helped me learn and grow as a player. I grew up always having a stick in my hand, though that didn’t stop me from playing other sports. I’m a three sport athlete and have been my whole life. I play field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse and each one keeps me in shape and has pointers that carry over to the next. Playing sports has taught me so much about being a leader on and off the field and how to work with all different types of people. Since the moment I stepped onto a lacrosse field I knew I was where I was supposed to be. I’ve reached my dream of playing and starting in high school and now my dream is to play at the collegiate level. Being at 5”8 and 140 pounds I’m tall and have muscle on me. I’m looking to study education and would love to become an elementary school teacher and possibly a high school lacrosse coach when I’m older. I’m interested in exploring all my options and creating new and fun experiences for myself.
