Hi, my name is Sara Piwowarski and I am currently a senior at Greely High School in Cumberland, Maine. I fell in love with the game of lacrosse when I started playing in fourth grade, and have been a passionate player ever since. I am primarily a defender, and have been playing for my high school's varsity game since my freshman year. I have also been playing for Maineiax, a local club team, since I was in eighth grade, and played for Maine Lacrosse Futures my sophomore year. Lacrosse has been my favorite sport for years, and I row in the fall and run indoor track in the winter in order to stay in shape for lacrosse season. Being a student-athlete has taught me so much about time management, dedication, and persistence that I believe being a student-athlete in college as well would be remarkably beneficial, therefore I hope to find myself at a college where I can play lacrosse competitively and also be challenged in the classroom.
