My goal is to be a college student athlete in an environment where I can obtain an education that can prepare me for my life aspiration for a career in the medical field. I would like to study medicine, anything in the medical field, or mathematics.
I come from a family that emphasizes hard work, and who believe that “you reap what you sow”. Hard work is needed for success, and I am a hard worker. My family has also taught me to always be the best that I can be.
I started learning how to be a committed athlete at the age of four when my parents signed me up for swimming lessons. In addition to swimming, I have played soccer, run track, and played basketball. As a freshman, I was selected to play varsity basketball. For lacrosse, since my freshmen year on the Varsity team, I have always started the position for defender/attack. I use my strength, such as running, and my skills working with others in team sports. In summary, I have always been athletic and been exposed to different sports. My love is lacrosse! I would like to join a team where I can bring my passion and love of the game to the next level.
Academically, I like to challenge myself. By the end of my high school year, I will have completed eight AP classes, and fourteen honor classes. I have always been very good at mathematics, and it has always been my favorite subject since I learned how to count. At times it has been a challenge, but I have always stuck through. I have been in the math and science magnet program at North Springs High School in Atlanta, Georgia since the ninth grade. I was awarded a certificate in the 2014 Toshiba/NSTA Exlporavision program, and have attended the Kennesaw State Summer Math Camp for the past three years. At the camp, I learned more about the history of math and was also exposed to college level math.
I challenge myself both academically and athletically. I consider myself different from others because I am very open minded to feedback and what I can do to be a better in all aspects of life.
