Allie is a truly exceptional and versatile player. A true midfielder with her extraordinary speed and agility, she is consistently called upon to play attack or defense. Just under six feet tall, her height and amazing speed are cornerstone to her consistently winning the draw and maintaining the team play at the scoring end of the field. Her stick and ball handling abilities have grown exponentially in a remarkably short amount of time. She is as developed with her left hand as well as her natural right, having been the focus of outside development to her expand her versatility. Lacrosse for girls in the Ocala area is now entering its third year, realizing explosive growth. Allie has played Varsity lacrosse all three years, The team Captain since her Junior year, MVP her Junior year, her commitment and love of the sport has led her to travel team in the Tampa area, an hour and a half drive one way, three times a week, to play lacrosse for the Tampa Tribe Club travel team. She has started every game she has ever played and was selected to play on the Florida Gulf Coast National Lacrosse team that competed in the National Championships in Stony Brook, NY this past year.
Allie is a well-rounded student scholar athlete. She has maintained a 4.3 GPA her senior year, taking all AP, Honors and College Preparatory courses. Not only playing lacrosse, she was also on the Varsity Soccer team her first three years of High School, actively involved in student government, various community service organizations and a member of the National Honor Society. A volunteer coach at the YMCA, she also embodies inspirational leadership by example, passing on her talents and abilities to younger and aspiring athletes.
A natural leader on and off the field, Allie has been the lacrosse team Captain for two years, appointed to her high school 5 - member Athletic Leadership Counsel by the combined High School coaching staff and academic faculty, having just relinquished appointment to the Captain of the Varsity Soccer Team and playing soccer her senior year to focus on her academic efforts and pursuit of collegiate lacrosse. On the field, not only does Allie facilitate the other star positional players, she consistently maintains exceptional overall awareness of the entire game such that she is in situational command of her other teammates and the continual development of the game. She is the foundation and backbone of any organization she applies herself to, an example for other star players as well as, if not more importantly, to developing players
If Allie has any attributable faults, it is her selfless disregard for personal recognition in support of the greater collective, the team. That attribute alone, however, is what has garnered her the leadership positions that she so rightfully deserves. What she may lack in combined years of experience is more than made up for in beyond exceptional attitude and dedication. Intelligent, inspirational, dedicated, malleable, she is truly a coach’s aspiration and needs to be regarded an invaluable asset to any collegiate roster.
