I am a 5'8" junior who has been playing lacrosse for 4 years and have become an all around middie who loves to play everywhere on the field.
This year I have made the 2013 Colorado Team for the High School National Tournament (second year in a row) that was played at Lehigh University!
Also, I made the Academic All State First Team for Colorado, voted Honorable Mention by our state's High School Coaches, and have been voted as the Best Overall Player by my teammates!
Last year I made the Colorado Team for the High School National Tournament as a sophomore! I also made the Colorado Team that traveled to Vail, CO to play in the Vail Shootout! I had a great time playing with some of the best lacrosse players in Colorado!
I attend Loveland High School and play for the Thompson Valley Eagles and have started as a middie these past three seasons. After learning the game I have fallen in love with the intensity and complexities of lacrosse. I love playing hard and learning the finer details that help me improve every day. I am a well rounded player and always look to improve and be coached. I love playing with my team and bonding with all the girls, and am willing to help and learn from each of them.
I am looking to attend a college that stresses both academics and athletics. I hope to pursue mathematics or kinesiology along with coaching in the future and I will work hard in the classroom and on the field. I do my best and always try to improve and so far this year I have accomplished this. I have a 3.864 GPA and am ranked 34th in my class. With the willingness to learn and improve I can put my mind to anything and accomplish it.
Scouting Report
"Hannah Payton is one of the most coachable and athletic kids I have ever worked with and I have no doubt that she should be playing lacrosse in college. Hannah is very intelligent on the field. She plays with her head up and is able to "see" the multiple possible plays and options available and choose from the best - she draws much of her field sense from playing basketball and thus is highly skilled at both on and off ball movement. Her stick is solid in both hands and she is a ground ball machine. Although Hannah loves to play offense, she is a natural defensemen with good instincts and her ability to shut players down as well as work well within the defensive 'team'. She communicates clearly and effectively with her team on the field while playing defense and offense. In addition to her lacrosse skills, Hannah is a kid that you want to have on your team. She is kind to her teammates, respectful of her coaches, and has a desire to constantly learn and grow as a lacrosse player - she asks for and accepts help from coaches and is able to put adjustments into play almost immediately. Hannah has an outstanding work ethic and a constant positive attitude and I know she will carry this through to the next level. Please call me if you have questions."
