Sara Pagotto '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sara Pagotto and I am from Calgary, Alberta. I have been participating in athletics ever since I was very young. I played ringette for three years, then hockey for three years as well as the outdoor soccer season for nine. When I started playing lacrosse it quickly became my favorite sport. I stopped playing soccer and hockey to focus my time and dedication solely to lacrosse. I play both box lacrosse and field lacrosse.  When I was thirteen I started to run and compete in half marathons, and quickly discovered that to be an athlete is just as mental as it is physical. 
What sets me apart from other recruits is my dedication and drive to finish anything I do and to the best that is achievable. I have played every sport at my school (Cross Country, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Flag Football, and Track and Field) and have pushed myself both mentally and physically. I am a very encouraging person and I love to motivate teammates to push themselves to achieve greater things they didn't think they could. The bonds that I form with my teammates and coaches have been spectacular and I can say all my experiences have been positive. In my first month of attending high school I have made the Junior Volleyball team with plans to join the swim team and multiple other sports. 
Academically, I have achieved above and beyond. My favorite subjects are Math and Science and I am currently enrolled in Advanced Placement Science, and Advanced Placement grade 11 biology. I enjoy attending school and educating myself on what I have never known before.
