Personal Statement

Since learning how to play the sport, hockey has become my life. My family life has become consumed with games and practices and we love every second of it. In the short 6 years I have been playing, I have exceeded both my coaches and my own expectations, and want nothing more than to continue this into college.

My game revolves solely around team play and the positive reinforcement of my teammates. I keep a positive attitude no matter the score, which often keeps the teams morale up, bringing us to victory. I work hard on and off the ice, especially in school, to represent my teams in a positive manner. I am a fast learner and coaches will find me to be a very determined recruit.

When I am not on the ice, I work to strengthen my mind and my social skills. I have been in all honors classes since starting school, and continue to keep my grades high. Over the past 6 years, I have played travel league hockey, competitive and school soccer, and Track and Field. I plan to continue playing hockey whenever I can, and to stay in shape by running in Track and Cross Country. Outside of sports, I am also an active member of my schools drama club, debate team, and was recently inducted into the Burrillville chapter of the National Honors Society.

Attending College has never been a question to me. I have a very open mind as to where I wish to attend, and only expect that the school I choose will help me to become a smarter, more prepared individual. Playing college hockey would be an amazing accomplishment, and I hope to make my family proud.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
