Mia McLeod '19 Recruiting Profile

 My current goal is to to graduate from St. Theresa's Catholic high school with honours ( 80% or above) and leave my high school with a legacy. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to get a Bachelor's degree in Science focusing on genetics and play Division 1 Woman's Hockey in 2019, or 2020 . Working in the medical field is where I see myself in the future.

I would be a great candidate for a college level team because I am a high achiever (I take my school work and extracurricular interests very seriously), a well rounded athlete and enjoy being a team player on and off the ice. 

My academic average in Grade 9 was 91% and in Grade 10 my average was 88%.  I continue to achieve an honours average in high school. I have learned to balance my studies, maintain my fitness level along with playing Junior Hockey and a part time job. 

Some of my greatest accomplishments are:

-Invited to U18 Ontario High Performance Goalie Camp(2017)

-St. Theresa’s Junior Female Athlete of the Year(2017)

- St. Theresa's Female Track and Field Award (2017)

- Competed at 2017 OFSSA Championships for Pole Vault - Held in Belleville Ontario

- Ontario Summer Games Women's Hockey - Bronze Medalist( 2016)

- Named to the International Silver Stick Bantam Boys  All-Star Team ( 2016) - Based on ability, sportsmanship and conduct

- St. Theresa’s Junior Female Athlete of the Year - Nominee (2016)

- Athlete of the Year - Mundy's Bay Public School ( 2015)

- Character Award - Mundy's Bay Public School( 2015)

 Overall, I am a very driven individual. I want to maintain an excellent average while playing Junior Women's Hockey (PWHL) and continue the process to play on Team Ontario.
