I am a hockey player. I started playing youth hockey when I was four years old, so I’ve been playing hockey for as long as I can remember and it is part of my identity. From that young age I knew hockey was something I was good at and it was something from which I gained self-confidence and a desire to work hard to improve myself to be able to play at the top level at each age group. I've always been a top scorer on any team I've played on. Even when I was a freshman I led the varsity team in points. In the off season I have continued to train by playing on AAA teams, playing in the Premier Prep league, and participating in athletic performance programs at Olmsted Medical Center. I consider myself to be a student of the game of hockey and I try to work hard at improving my hockey skills and knowledge all year round.
I intend to finish high school strong, both academically and athletically, as I search for a school that is a good fit for me to continue playing hockey while I pursue a degree. My goal is to explore a major in either science or computers. I also have an interest maybe coaching hockey one day. I know college is a time of personal growth, and as I grow as a student and hockey player I will strive to be an asset to the team on and off the ice. I will always conduct myself in a manner that reflects positively on my family, my team, and my school.
