I should admit I didn’t always want to play hockey but I’m so glad I did. Not only did hockey help me through the tough times but also gave me great friendships along the way, and now I can’t see myself doing anything different. My family were the ones wo influenced me the most to start playing, my brother played hockey and of course like any younger sibling, I wanted to be just like him. My dad also played hockey while he was younger, he made it only to junior A but probably could have made it further but he stayed with my mom to start a family.
My grades I would say are about average they aren’t bad but there’s always room for improvement. I value school more than hockey and so does my coach, if you aren’t getting good enough grades you are not playing, which just makes me try harder.
I am not the biggest on the ice and I’m not the strongest, but I am one of the most hardworking girls you will ever meet. My mom likes to compare me to a Jack Russel terrier because I’m one of the most annoying girls to play against, and I’m small but mighty. I will never back down from going into the corners against the biggest girls and if you want me to try something new I will. I have been told that I am very coachable and I’m a team player. Almost every time we have a powerplay or we are killing a penalty I am out there doing my very best for the team.
