Personal Statement

Hello my name is Kiera Dietrich, I am 17 years old and I am in my senior year of high school.  I attend the Warner Hockey school in Warner, Alberta, Canada. My team plays in the JWHl ( Junior Women's Hockey League) , I am coached by the very talented and knowledgeable Mikko Makela.

My dream has always been to play hockey for as long as I am able too. To play for a College Or University Hockey team in either United States or Canada is my passion.

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to get my Honours in Psychology and a Minor in Socialogy and a Masters degree in Social working and become a licensed Social worker.  I have always wanted to help people in a way that can actually have a positive impact on their life and help change it for the better. For academic achievements I have been chosen for the last 3 years for the Community Helpers to make sure our school is a safe, and welcoming to anyone who attends or visits our school. I have been an honour role student and strive to do well in academics for it is setting myself up for my future.

I believe that hard work and dedication is the utmost importance when it comes to any sport, but team sports require trust and loyalty that only comes from earning respect and giving respect. By never backing down from what you really aspire to achieve.

What makes me different from other recruits is I have been playing this sport since I was 3 years old, I may not be the most skilled player or the fastest, but I will promise to give you ever ounce of my abilities and my energy and I put my whole heart Into this sport in order to achieve my goals and to have success with the team.

Well that just a little bit about me, I hope this helps you decide if you would like me to help you.

Kiera Dietrich
