Golf has been a part of my life since I was six years old. I enjoy the game because each course and every hole presents a new challenge. My goal is to play golf at the collegiate level as I continue my education. As captain of my varsity team, I work hard to be a leader; working to get each of my teammates to practice and play at maximal effort. My positive attitude, sense of humor, and dedication are some of my strongest qualities; on and off the course. I value positive reinforcement and constructive criticism from my coach to help me improve my game. I often get comments from other team’s coaches on the consistency and distance of my drives and accuracy of my fairway shots.
My hard work is seen on the golf course and in the classroom. My academic success is important to me as I strive to pursue a degree in chemistry. The challenges I face on the golf course parallel those in academics. I am determined to work outside of my comfort zone negating preconceived limits to prove I can be successful. My passion, determination and commitment to golf combined with my leadership skills will definitely help me excel and make me an asset at the next level.
