Personal Statement

I have been playing competitive golf since I was 7, but started playing before that. I play in the St. George, Utah Junior Golf Association and the Utah PGA J.E.T. Tour. I have received two letters in golf to start my high school career and am looking to add two more to end my high school career. As a sophomore I placed 8th overall at state with a 10 over par to receive All-State honors. My junior year I placed fifth overall in region to make the All-Region team.  My goal in golf is to play collegiate golf for an established program. I am very dedicated, organized, and can be depended on to be where I say I will be. I am goal-oriented and have been working hard to bring my scores down. I average an 83 for 18 holes but I am improving on that everyday. My personal 18 hole best is a three-over par 76.

I would like to pursue a career in the sports industry. I am working hard to graduate high school with an Honors diploma. I am on the High Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA, have had perfect attendance in high school, and have enrolled in honors, AP, and concurrent enrollment classes to challenge myself.

My junior golf season schedule and results:

March 4th- Green Springs Golf Course/9 holes-46                                                                                                                                     March 19th- Sand Hollow Links Golf Course/9 holes- 38                                                                                                                                 March 26th- Southgate Golf Course/9 holes- 41                                                                                                                                          April 9th- Sunbrook Golf Course/9 holes 41                                                                                                                                                 April 16th- Sky Mountain Golf Course /9 holes- 49                                                                                                                                     April 21st- St. George Golf Course /9 holes-37 (18 hole score 81)                                                                                                                                           April 28th- Cedar Ridge Golf Course /18 holes-77                                                                                                                                       May 5th- Sun River Golf Course/ 18 holes- 73
