Katie Perkins '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Katie Perkins. I am entering my Senior year at Desert Hills High School; I have been playing golf since I was six years old.

I would like to major in the Medical Field and I maintain a 3.6 GPA. I understand that academics are equally as important and I will do whatever it takes to achieve success in and out of the classroom.

I would be very honored to attend a college that fits me both athletically and academically. I feel college golf will better improve my game and bring me to a whole new level. I have gained some of my closest friends on the golf course and from traveling around the country competing with them. Golf has shaped me into the person I am today.  I love working with a team and challenging myself. I have been honored to be team captain of my high school. I have helped lead our team to its sixth consecutive state championship and I myself have been individual medalist my Sophomore, Junior and Senior years.  I believe I have the necessary skills to compete at the collegiate level by keeping a positive attitude and looking forward to the next shot.
