My name is Bayleigh Woodland. I live in North Ogden , Utah and will graduate in the 2014 class.
Although my family has always been in the golf business I didn’t start competing until my Freshman year. I have been team captain for the three years and consider myself a leader. In my three years of golfing I have improved by more than 20 shots and am still improving greatly. I am a very hard worker and always trying to improve.
Before golf I competed in soccer (year round), volleyball, and even tried my hand in dance and cheer. That being said, I consider myself competitive and athletic. When I’m not on the golf course I’ll usually be clearing my head at the gym, in a yoga session or hiking. My favorite hobby and one I’m most proud of is community service, I have had the opportunity to volunteer and raise money for many local charities large and small including Make A Wish (My younger sister was diagnosed with leukemia almost 8 years ago) I have also had the opportunity to go to Mexico each year and help with the orphanage and am currently sponsoring a child.
I have a 3.0 overall GPA. What I necessarily look for in a school is a place where my academics and athletics are balanced.
Ideally, I am looking for a program where I can make my contribution to the team early in my collegiate career. I am considering and opened to any opportunity with a D1 program being the ultimate goal.
