Abby Adams '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Abby Adams, I am an honor student at New Braunfels High School in Central Texas currently in my Junior Year.  I have been playing golf competitively since I was nine years old, and have been on the varsity golf team since I was a freshman. Last year as a sophomore I advanced to the 6A State Championship.  Academically, I am in the top 6% of my class and understand how important it is to maintain that ranking through graduation.  I am interested in pursuing a science major that will position me well for medical school.  I believe that a successful college golfer not only impacts the team with performance and consistency, but conducts themselves on and off the golf course with honor and respect.  I have learned in high school golf how to balance my competitive nature and desire to win with my belief that it is important to have cohesiveness and camaraderie as a team.  Outside of school and golf, I enjoy spending time with my church youth group, working with children athletically and academically, hunting, surfing, swimming, and reading.  I am extremely dedicated to improving my game both mentally and physically.  My goal is to have an immediate positive impact not only to the golf team I am chosen to be a part of, but to the school and the community as well.
