I began my golf career as a second semester sophomore after playing volleyball for Bishop Lynch as a freshman and sophomore. I was able to overcome many obstacles during my freshman year; being in the hospital for two weeks freshman year set be back a lot, but I was able to overcome those struggles and thrive to achieve my goals. One of those goals was finding a new sport I could become a better player in and enjoy something new. I have played for a little over a year and have brought my scores down drastically, from about a 120 to around a 95. I plan on entering the NTPGA tournaments during the summer and next school year to help continue lower my score. I was also able to maintain steady grades while out and have kept an A average every year so far as a high schooler. I am always willing to learn new ways and keep an open mind when it comes to tips to help me in the game. I also enjoy volunteering and helping people who may not be able to do the things they used to. Grades are also the most important to me because I want to have a good career when I am older, but also have golf o help me see through to those goals. I enjoy playing the game every weekend with my family and every day with my high school team. Going out and playing nine holes about every other day has helped significantly reduce my scores and consistent lessons have allowed me to become more advanced and thoughtful when it comes to taking each stroke.
