I am a South Carolina Junior golfer. I am most certainly aspiring to play collegiate golf. I am a senior this year and have been playing the game since the summer before my freshmen year. I play for South Pointe High School. I love being a part of a team and working with other teammates trying to reach one goal together, success.
I have played in SCJGA events and other types of junior tournaments. I started playing later compared to other girls than I have competed against. I know that other girls are farther in their game than I am because they started earlier than I did. But with me, I know I have a lot of hard work and drive still left in me. I don't believe I have reached my peak yet in my game and would love to reach that in my college career. I have been working very hard and compared to my freshmen year and I have made drastic improvements in all the aspects in my game.
I am not your typical senior golfer looking to move on to college and play on the next level. I recognize the need to push myself to be better every day. There is an aspect of life that can be improved upon every day, whether it be school or golf or bettering myself as a teammate. Many obstacles have appeared in my life and I have learned to overcome them and draw strength from them. I know these experiences will help me to be an asset to any college team.
