Melissa Gibbons '10 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'8" senior from Molalla, OR. I have 4 years of Varsity experience and have played in the Oregon Junior Golf program. I have earned the honors of 1st team all-league and 1st team all-state at the conclusion of last season. I was also the District Individual Champion. I also have a weighted Grade Point Average of 4.358 and am Salutatorian for my graduating class. I understand that I am starting the recruiting process late, but I am still extremely interested in playing collegiate athletics. I have been team captain of the golf team for two years, as well as in other sports that I have played. I am always to practice early and am the last player to leave at night. I would like to go to a school that is well known for its scholastic excellence. I do not have a specific geographic location in mind; however, I would like to go to a school where I can work on my golf game during the winter months. I am open to different types of schools. My ideal major is Biochemistry or Chemistry. I have interest in becoming an anesthesiologist. Ideally, I would like to play as a freshman on a team with a good program where I can continue to improve my game.
