July 2016Personal Statement
I began playing competitive golf my sophomore year in high school. My first tournament, I shot a 127. In a little over a year of hard work, I am now shooting in the low 90's. My personal record is 88 which I shot during the qualifying round for state at Tokatee in Oregon. At state, I had the best score of my team, which includes several girls who have been playing for significantly longer than I have. My 91-92 at State placed me at 45th.
I am a very hard worker, and am highly coachable, according to both my team coach, and my swing coach who I have been getting lessons from for the past two years. My goal is to play golf in college at a school which ranks high academically as well as being passionate about their golf team.
