Golf has always been more than just a game to me. I love to golf and its always come natural but not without some struggles. Growing up, golf was a great way to spend time with my family and friends. Now it has become a place where I am a leader and a teammate. I have been playing varsity golf since seventh grade and I have gone to state for the past four years. This last season was my breakout season with six individual titles along with a number of team titles, which included a state championship, which I am the most proud of. Continuing my golf career didn't even cross my mind until I was a freshman and a new coach came into my life. She changed everything I thought about golf and made me realize that golf didn't end after I graduate. Now I work every single day to make that dream of playing college golf come true. There are always those hard days where nothing seems to go right but those days are the days I learn the most and it only makes me work harder the next day.
When I look at colleges I look to see what degrees they offer and to make sure that my academic aspirations are met before I look at anything else. Then I look at the team and coaching staff to make sure I would fit into their program. I have built great relationships with my high school coaches and that is important to me that I have a great relationship with my future coaches and teammates. I don't just work hard for myself but I want to make everyone around me better and to push them to be their best. I drive to be the best person and golfer I can be and I never stop working towards something I set my mind to.
