I am very determined to do my best in all areas. For instance, I have improved my golf scoring average by 25 strokes in just two years. In High School I worked very hard in my studies to and maintain a 3.77 grade point average with weighted grades. I am also a member of National Honor Society and my golf team has been named to the All Academic Team for 2 years. One of my strengths is meeting new people and I am a natural -born leader. However, I can also move over and take instruction with a humble attitude. I maintain a cool head on the golf course and see this as one of my greatest strengths. I realize that this is a mental game and I truly believe I would be a true encourager and motivator to my college teammates as we travel and also on the courses we play. Individually, I want to improve and am set to do just that. Given the opportunity, I have and can rise to the occasion. This past year, I have been in a gap year program called Link Year through Kanakuk Kamps. I have learnt a lot about who I am as a person and how to use my time wisely. I have taken credit hours so that coming out of my gap year I will have 26 credited hours. I can be a freshman or easily take a summer course and be a sophomore. I have a year ahead of what most canidates have to offer that I have taken to learn what I believe and how to be a mature college student and not waste my time away.
