My goal is to play golf competitively at a collegiate level. I had a great junior year playing for my school varsity team. This past October, at the Missouri State High School Tournament, I tied for 14th place among all the Missouri High School Girls Golfers. Additionally, I participated in several AJGA events over the summer of 2014 including the Lockton-Samsung Invitational in Kansas City, Missouri. These experiences taught me specifically how to stay strong under difficult conditions and stressful competition.
My work ethic is one of my strengths. I try hard at everything. Although there is no official class rank I am one of the top students in my grade. I was selected by my school to apply for the Missouri Scholars Academy summer program. I also play the cello and qualified to perform in the Missouri All-State Orchestra as a freshman, a sophomore and now as a junior.
Because I am still a junior, I remain very open-minded about my college choices. Most importantly, I value good team chemistry. So far in my high school golf career, I have been part of three fantastic teams consisting of girls with very different backgrounds. When struggling with pressure and nerves, we relied on each other for encouragement and support. I hope to join a college team that fosters a spirit of cooperation and solidarity for all team members.
