As a sophomore in 2011, Monica tied for medalist at the Michigan Division 4 State Finals after a stellar sophomore year, making the first team All-State. This 2012 season, as a junior, Monica continued to lead her team. She had the lowest scoring average in her Conference, placed first medalist in 13 of 14 season events. At the Michigan State Division 4 Regional tournament she placed 4th. At the two-day Michigan State Divison 4 Finals Golf Tournament, she placed 6th overall after going under par for the last 9 holes at Michigan State's Forest Akers West golf course. Monica's average for 18 hole events in 2012 is 75.2 for 18 and 36.6 for 9 hole events. For Monica's Junior year she captured another first team All-State recognition title. During the summer season, Monica is an avid contender in the Adams Tour Golf Tournaments (www.juniorgolf.org). Monica is long off the tee, has strong irons and her putting is a compliment to her game. Her mental approach to competition is one of her strengths as well.
Already entering her senior season, Monica has been off to a great start. She carded rounds of 79 at The Highlands Golf Course, 77 at Railside Golf Course, 71 at The Pines Golf Course, and a 69 at Katke Golf Course. Monica's countless hours spent practicing and playing during the summer is already paying off. She is a dedicated golfer in practice and in school. She gives it her all from the second she steps on the course to the second she steps off.
