Hello,
My name is Chase Encalade, I am 17 years old and will enter my Senior Year of High School this Fall. I was introduced to golf 2 1/2 years ago, through the First Tee Organization of New Orleans. I had no idea it would end up becoming my most favorite thing to do.
My high school did not have a team so I met with the administrators and with their help we started one during my junior year. As captain I led my team to the District Championship and earned a spot as an individual in the State Championship. This was my first year of both competitive and High School Golf.
I have only been involved in golf for a few years and have just begun to meet with a Swing Coach this Summer. This all caught me by surprise, when all of this started I never imagined I'd feel this way about golf or want to seriously play at the college level.
Even though my time in this game has been short, I see myself as a diamond in the rough. Under the care of the right Coach and System, I know I can become a 70's player. My longest drive has been measured at 270 yds , my 3w averages between 220 - 235 yds and I am seriously willing to put in the work both academically and athletically.
Golf has really helped to change my life, I've met new friends, been introduced to new ideas and it would mean the world to me to play at the college level.
