Personal Statement

I am Jordyn Berg. Many people call me Jordy.

Golf  has been something that I enjoy alot. It's the sport I'm best at. I'm the #1 Golfer at Skyview high school. Which is why i have been a starting player for the Girls Varsity Golf team since my freshman year. At the beginning of freshman year, i started shooting low 100's, but now i shoot 80's and low 90's. I have improved alot from then. I work very hard to be the best at this sport, because it means alot to me. It's a sport not alot of people can do. Anybody can go out and run miles and miles and improve quickly, or learn the skills of football with a snap of their fingers basically, but with Golf, it takes time and practice. It is a mind game mostly. But its also about the essence of hitting the ball at the perfect time, the perfect way, and the perfect direction.

During the off season, I play for the IGA (Idaho Golf Association). Right now I play for the JIGA (Junior Idaho Golf Association) in which this summer (2012) I will be playing in the Big "I" Classic (i will get a caddy), The IGA/PGA 2-day Tournament, as well as the Callaway Jr. World Qualifier.

Personally, I am very outgoing and can be silly at times. When it comes to sports though, I am very serious. I take golf seriously and I have always dreamed of it taking me somewhere in life. My dream is to go to college on a full ride scholarship, because it would be a great accomplishment. After college, I want to enter the Air Force and become a pilot.

I have been thinking about the Air Force/Navy and dreaming of becoming a pilot since I was in the fifth grade. I have two hours logged in my flight book and really want to get my pilots license before I enter the Air Force/Navy.

Anyways, My short term goal for now, is to go to college and be the best i can be.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
