As the number one ranked girls' golf varsity player at North Springs Charter High School since my freshman year, I feel it's very important to set an example for the other players. Showing good sportsmanship, respecting the rules of golf and demonstrating dedication to a solid practice discipline can help the other players improve themselves, our team, and myself.
Golf is a very challenging sport, mentally and physically. It has taught me a life long lesson to not hold onto the negative parts of my life, accept my challenges and learn from them. When I hit a bad hole, I cannot let that get to me or my performance will suffer. I must learn from my mistakes in order for me to improve. This keeps me emotionally in check and mentally prepared for anything.
