My name is Sarah Wieck, and I am a senior (class of 2017) at Hagerty High School in Oviedo, Florida. I compete in the Class 3A, where I have the challenge and blessing of competing against some the best female golfers in the State of Florida. I also compete in the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour; I started golfing at the age of 9 after being brought along to my brother's golf matches and tournaments. I currently hold the school 9-hole record of 34(-2) that I achieved my senior year. One of my personal strengths is my putting. Because I live in Florida, I am able to practice year around and improve my golf game. I also play varsity tennis at Hagerty and I play both singles (#3/4) and doubles (#2). Sports and fitness has always been a big part in my life, I work out at the gym every day. I have played many sports: I played softball for 11 years, cheered for 5 years, soccer for 5 years, and volleyball for 4 years. I understand teamwork and the team mentality of working together to achieve a common goal. I have been "all-academic" the past two years, having achieved a 3.5 or higher while playing a varsity sport. I have balanced sports and academics my entire life, and hope to continue doing so while studying the fields of athletic training/kinesiology/physical therapy in college.
