Kelly Harris '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a Senior at Sunlake High School, in Land O Lakes, Florida and will graduate in 2016.  I have been the starter on the Varsity golf team for four years.   I have been the Suncoast Conference Champion for three consecutive years 2013, 2014 and 2015.  I began playing golf after attending a golf summer camp at the age of six.  I played in my first junior golf tournament at the age of seven.  With constant encouragement from my family and coach I've continued to play, compete and excel at the junior level. Golf highlights from my career include qualifying for and playing in the U.S. Kids International competition held in Pinehurst, NC in 2008 and 2009, and playing in the U.S. Kids European World championship in Scotland in 2010.  I practice 5-6 days a week and play in 1-2 tournaments a month to gain experience and maintain my competitive exposure.  I am a team player and enjoy playing and encouraging my team mates to practice and play to the best of their ability.  My goal is to play collegiate golf and be a part of team playing a sport I love, while obtaining my bachelor’s degree.
