My name is Brandi; I am 5'9" and have been an athlete for as long as I can remember My background is unique and have only taken up golf 3 years ago; the summer going into my freshman year of high school. Prior to high school I only knew gymnastics; I lived, ate, and breathed gymnastics for 12+ years. I trained hard and for many hours a week, kept my school work up, and when of age, I worked for family business. I was a competitive gymnast and when I left the sport I was training for Level 9 and competed at Regional’s in Texas as a Level 8 gymnast and placed 31st overall. After leaving the sport, I decided to look to golf. During the summer here in Colorado; I had a few lessons here and there, with my now private coach; Tray Shehee. Freshman year turned out to be an exciting one for me; our golf season doesn’t start until March so during the winter months I decided to try diving. As with golf, I never been on a diving board, yet compete in diving. I have been on the diving team all 3 years of high school, have placed in state all 3 years (16, 11, & 9) and I was All-Conference Champ in 2010 and hope to dive my senior year. As for golf, I have really enjoyed learning the sport. My freshman year in high school, I went to state and was 3rd player on the varsity team. That was also the first year that Berthoud High School had a team representing them at the state golf tournament. Sophomore year as a golfer, I again qualified for state. My junior year as a golfer, I was 2nd-Team All Conference in 4A, and was ranked 6th overall in our Conference and was 1st alternate for the state cut. During my junior year I also was part of the gymnastics team and placed 14th overall on bars at the 4A state gymnastics tournament. Going into my senior year my overall athletic focuses are on golf. My aspirations as I move on are to continue my education with emphasis on Business Management/Nursing, and also to be a collegiate athlete and an active member of the golf team.
