Personal Statement

I am a female jr. golfer from Cameron park, CA. I have been #1 on Ponderosa’s varsity golf team for the past three years and captain for the past two. My Sophomore year I was third in the Capital Valley Conference and this previous year I placed fourth. I also have been the junior club champion for the past three years at my local country club. While competing in the First Tee and JGANC, I have shot rounds in the 70’s and have placed second and third.

My other interests include playing the piano, art and basketball. I played JV basketball my freshman and sophomore years and volunteered as a basketball coach for my little brother's community basketball team.

My ideal college would be a highly competitive school with not only great golf but great athletics and academics. I am looking to study Biological Science in college, but I am also considering Business. I feel that I could make an immediate impact at any school I attend, but I am going to choose the school that I feel gives me the best chance to succeed on and off the course. I am very passionate about playing at the next level and will do whatever it takes to do so.
