I play for the Aquinas Blugolds in Lacrosse, WI. I have had the privilege of playing with a team that is back to back conference champions. Freshman year I played mostly on the VR team and I was rostered for the Varsity team. I went into Freshman year season thinking that I would play for Varsity and when that didn't necessarily come true, it helped me to push myself to possibly get moved up. I pushed myself in practice and although I didn't get a ton of playing time, I prepared myself for next season. When Sophomore season approached I was honored by starting on the Varsity team. My Sophomore year my team accomplished a lot, including becoming back to back conference champs and winning the All-Area award. We were ready to take on playoffs and win State. When Regional finals came we got crushed. I think that this loss helped me snap back to reality and get ready to push myself for the next season.
I've been playing basketball ever since I was a little girl. I played all the time and my family pushed me to become the best that I can be not only in basketball but also in life. They helped me by moving to a new area so that I was playing with very talented student-athletes and by pushing me to work hard while on the court, in the gym, and off the court. Through playing basketball I have learned that I am a team player. I encourage others to push themselves and not to give up. I am also a leader. I step up to the plate and take initiative when it comes to the team and how we play and act on and off the court. Some academic goals that I would like to achieve is to graduate high school with nothing less that a GPA of 3.9+. I would also like to be and continue to be active in a volunteer club at my school called IMPACT. In college I would like to graduate with a Bachelor's degree to become a Special Education Teacher. Some unique characteristics that I have would be that I am detail oriented and inclusive. I think that these characteristics are helpful and necessary to create and be apart of a great team!
