I have played varsity basketball as a starter since I was a freshman, and although my team made it to quarterfinals last year in the state championship, I find myself still hungry for more. As a smaller sized player I'm aware of the challenges of standing out amongst other taller prospects, however, I still receive recognition for my hustle and leadership abilities as a point guard. I am eager to show everybody my full potential and game. This year I transferred to Bishop Blanchet high school for their high academic program. I was so excited for the 2020-21 basketball season but our season was cut short due to Covid. Here are my highlights in the Metro League tournament that year https://youtu.be/6sVgs7usmXY.
This year for 2021-2022 my team is working hard to make it to state. Here are my season highlights Leila Hosn #14 : BBHS Senior Highlights: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2jgWjVWLFeKhF8GHT87W0fwqbtQNGHcr I have also been working hard to communicate with schools and develop connections.
As a player, I am a facilitator on the court, and I like to play a fast paced, agressive game. I am a unselfish yet competitive player and I pride myself on my work ethic. Although my position gives me good ball handling and general offensive skills, I love defense, and I enjoy making it uncomfortable and hard for my opponents. I’m a highly focused individual especially in academics and am very family-orientated, which is why I am looking for a tight-knit program/school that fits me academically and for basketball. I know I would be a valuable asset as well as a productive contributor to any team.
PS-I’d also like to invite you to watch my AAU games this past Spring, Summer and Fall season. My AAU team is All Out Basketball out of Seattle, Washington, and my coach's name is Coach Marvin Hall. I wear jersey #32. Attached is a document with links for my highlight videos and film: Leila Hosn 2020 Highlights and Game Film
