My plans are to major in communications and hope to become a sports analyst or sports anchor. The ultimate job would be to work for ESPN as an analyst calling games or working behind the scenes. It's important to me that I attend a college where I fit in academically as well as athletically. Attending a college as a student athlete will allow me to grow personally, academically, athletically and socially. I love basketball, I am a good teammate, and I'm committed and dedicated to winning. When I talk about winning, I'm referring to winning in the classroom as well as on the court. I know that I'm a student first and an athlete second. I enjoy working in the community helping children, especially at the elementary school level. I am respectful, honest, spiritual and passionate. My work ethic helps me to improve my game, and I will do any and everything to help my team win. I remember when I first made the varsity basketball team as a Freshman. I was so excited and I knew I had to work hard at every practice. I had to prove to the upper classman that I could play and I knew I had to earn their trust and I did. The moment that they believed in me and trusted me, we did great things. We went on to make it to the conference championship game for the first time when I was a Freshman. We fell short but we returned to that conference championship this year and won for the first time in the school's history. It was the greatest feeling....I intend to achieve my goal of graduating with a college degree, and I also plan to pursue my dream of playing basketball overseas and becoming a basketball analyst.
