Sumer Dames '20 Recruiting Profile

    Hello, I am Sumer Dames. I am a shooting guard on Culpeper County High School's Varsity Girls' Basketball team. I look forward to continuing my basketball career on a collegiate level after high school. In the past three seasons, I have averaged 13.6 points a game, most of my shots coming from the field.  I am vocal and motivational.  As a guard, it is my job to keep the team hyped up by speaking and running the court.  I am also aggressive on defense.  I consistently pressure the opponent's ball handler by pushing her to the sideline. 

    As a sophomore, my current GPA is a 4.25 weighted and 4.00 unweighted.  I set my standards high by challenging myself and taking advanced classes.  To maintain the all A honor roll streak that I've been holding since elementary school, I take responsibilities. I make sure everything assigned is completed correctly and on time.  The most important characteristics to have as a student athlete are discipline and time management.  I wouldn't be the player I am today if I didn't manage my time efficiently around school and sports. 

    My post high school goals are to play basketball on a college level and advance my education.  While in college, I hope to major in dental health.  One of my biggest aspirations includes becoming an orthodontist.
