Michelle Bevan '13 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches! My name is Michelle Bevan, and I am 2013 shooting guard. I live with my parents and twin brother, Michael. Jesus Christ is my Savior and because of this, I hold myself to a high standard when it comes to work ethic, morals, and lifestyle. On the court, I try to motivate my teammates and set an example with my hard work and dedication. Honestly I just love the game of basketball. I've been on varsity since my freshman year. I was the team captain this year, will be again next year. I work very hard and excel in the classroom. I am unsure of my intended major right now, but I am considering engineering, computer science, mathematics, and architecture. I've played on the Fort Bend Stars AAU team for several years. Recently I’ve been working on improving my ball handling and creating my own shot plus my defensive intensity. I’ve also been hitting the weights at school and hoping it will translate on the court. Geographic location is not a deciding factor in my college decision. The school I attend does not have to be of Christian orientation, but can be. I want to compete and contribute to my team and I'm prepared to work hard for every minute of play time. I'm open to many school sizes, but I want to be challenged academically. A little more about me: I enjoy being involved in my youth group, and I've had the priveledge of leading several bible studies and speaking in front of my peers several times about faith and lifestyle choices. I'm also Parliamentarian of a Houston-wide volunteering organization called Generation. My passion is people. I enjoy helping and inspiring others. I’m more shy than not. I like small crowds for a get together and big crowds for a basketball game. I prefer baked goods instead of candy.
