Emma Flores '24 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to be a future point guard at the next level, while also earning my degree. When faced with uncertainty I work through the struggle, respond to it, and flourish. I have the communication skills to successfully work with others and support them on and off the court. I maintained a 99.14 average (without the advanced class adjustments) with an AP class and 3 Pre-Ap classes my freshman year which I'm very proud of as I never had sustained time in the classroom due to our school covid protocol. 

I was the only freshman on varsity this year and earned playing time in the rotation during our school's first ever season in the top level 6A competition for our state. We advanced to the 2nd round earning our 1st ever playoff win and I played key part in our journey. 

My work ethic, competitiveness and humility helped me prove myself to my former coach and teammates, which consisted of 6 seniors and 2 juniors and 2 sophomores. I am an undersized player and I have always had to work harder to prove myself and every time I have succeeded. 

I play for one of the top organization in San Antonio and Texas (San Antonio Hoops Elite). I wanted to go where the practices would be just as competitive or even more so than the games. I know my journey will be different and my need to take challenges on head first is what I work for. I do not shy away from challenges ahead of me. I understand that my work ethic and outlook of confronting challenges are skills that will help me beyond the game and throughout life.
