In college I plan to pursue a degree in engineering while looking to continue my basketball career at the next level. I am a hard worker, team player and person of high character and integrity. I am different from other recruits in that I view basketball as a means to help further my education and aspirations for life after college while allowing me to participate in the game I love.
On the court my natural position is the wing, or shooting guard, but I also play point guard when needed for my team. I am able to handle the ball with either hand and can create my own shot if needed. I consider myself a well rounded player, not just a player looking to score, by dishing to the open man, hitting the boards and playing smart tough defense. At times I have had to play post due to teammates foul trouble, and have always been a player to help step up and do whatever it takes for our team to win. I feel I lead by example and can be counted on in the clutch to come through.
I love to compete, hate to lose and work as hard as I have to in order to be successful.
I am aware coaches don't want to rely on highlight videos for evaluation and I have full game video copies available I can send. Should you have interest please contact me so I can forward the game film to you.
My AAU team will be participating in a number tournaments hosted locally in the Houston area as well as two nationally recognized events. The final tournament I will be playing in is the Basketball on the Bayou National Championship: 7/23-7/25 (New Orleans)
I will be attending a NASA summer internship program I was awarded an invitation to the last week of July based on results of a course program completed last Fall. The program allows for selected students to be chosen for a summer internship which I hope to receive next year.
