Mikala Colwell '17 Recruiting Profile

    When I first started playing in fourth grade, I knew that basketball was the sport for me. I have held a love for the game ever since. Playing at the collegiate level would not only fulfill a dream, but give me the chance to get a great education.  

    I do my absolute best on and off the court. My education has always been my first priority. My academic, athletic and spiritual life are like three legs on a stool. They balance each other out.

    Leadership has always been one of my strengths. Whether it's volunteering at Church, or working as a camp counselor. I've always been willing to learn and work hard while doing so. I'm tough and very aggressive on the court. I'm always looking for a way to help benefit my team and put us in the best situation possible. While doing so I am also very coach-able. 

    It would be a honor to not only continue to play the sport I love but to further my education and better my future.
