My name is Amber Dubois, and I am a "non-participating" freshman at Clarendon College. This year has definitely been a growing year. I've been able to adjust to life on my own. I have learned how to take rejection and build on it. I lost weight, improved my shot, and continue to work on my quickness. I've also improved in areas I didn't realize I needed to work on. For example, I never did much rebounding in high school and all year my coach has pushed me to focus on blocking out and getting after rebounds in practice. Although this year has been the greatest blessing, it is still hard to sit on the sidelines. I feel like my "redshirt" year has made me hungry for the game. My goal for next year is to play my heart out and help my team win the regional tournament.
