We have been a sports family my entire life. My sister was a Nationally ranked volleyball player that I enjoyed watching as a toddler. My father was a collegiate football and basketball player. After I learned what an athletic scholarship was I wanted to achieve that goal, just as my father and sister had.
My father taught me early on that being the best takes hard work all the time. If my teammates see me working hard constantly I truly believe it will effect all of them positively. I want to be better so I can make them better. It takes a team to win in at basketball, not an individual. Personally I want to be the best I can be every day. Team goals will be set by the coach and I will try my best to achieve them.
I don't try to be different or isolate myself from the team. I just want to lead by example. My foundation has taught me right from wrong. I generally do the right thing. I am not perfect but I am definitely not constantly imperfect.
I have always taken pride in my academics. My transcript will show that. So I will continue to be proactive in my studies because that is the main reason to go to college.
