My junior year is not going the way I had it planned, but it is proving my dedication to athletics and personal commitment to reach the goals I have set out for myself.
I couldn't wait to start basketball once our volleyball season was over, only to have my season end during the third quarter of our first game. I injured my knee and had to have ACL reconstructive surgery. With support from my family and coaches, guidance from my physical therapist, and daily exercises, I have regained full range of motion and am released for non jumping or running activities. I am working toward a release to begin jogging in early March, and anticipate a full release shortly after.
Although I will not participate during this school season, I will compete with my select team during the summer, and I plan to come back 100% for my senior year.
