As a student and an athlete, I am very dedicated. I have played basketball for over eleven years and my passion for the game grows every season. With each of the various teams I have played on, I push myself and my teammates to be better; seeing my peers improve individually and for the team is essential to my enjoyment of the game. As a player, I am quick to adapt, and I will work to excel in any position I am assigned. I seek to learn new things that will improve my game, on and off of the court. Also, the ups and downs of the athletic environment have taught me to persevere no matter the outcome. With the change of coaches and the loss of teammates to injury, resilience and tenacity are vital to maintaining a positive and successful atmosphere. I strive to uplift my teammates vocally and through faith, and keep the team focused on long and short-term goals.
Academically, I have earned a 4.0 GPA in both high school and college, and I am the current valedictorian of my class. Looking to major in Pre-Med, I am searching for schools with outstanding biology/pre-medical programs. My education is exceedingly important, and the opportunity to complete it and simultaneously play the sport I love is motivating. I anticipate the continuation of my academic and athletic careers.
