Every little girl has a dream when they are younger. Most dream of being a princess or living happily ever after. I admit that these dreams sound nice and wonderful. However, my dream has always been, since the moment I first touched a basketball, to play basketball at the collegiate level. I feel like I can achieve this dream for several reasons. My personality/character is the one of a perfectionist. This makes me a determined individual who strives to succeed at everything. I will give my all at anything I do in order to achieve. This personality trait can be applied to both on and off the basketball court. In school, I focus on each class and push myself to maintain an A average in every single class. This includes my AP and advanced classes. On the court, I use the perfectionist in me to focus on the little details of the game. I know that they eventually add up to something big and enjoyable. While being a perfectionist has its advantages and disadvantages, my character traits of optimism and easygoingness aid me in being a very coachable person. I can pick up skills much quicker than most due to my capability to understand and comprehend an aspect after only seeing it a few times. I am very open-minded and trustworthy. These qualities help me get along with most people I encounter. With all these character traits, athletic skills, and academic achievements, I feel I could be a valuable asset to any college team.
