Halle Scott '21 Recruiting Profile

As far back as I can remember I've played basketball and have always had my heart in it since the day I stepped onto the court and easily caught on fast with the fundamentals. It's something I can look forward to and take time to really appreciate what I have. When I ask myself what I see me doing the future, I see myself playing basketball instead of running track or any extracurriculars. As an individual I am very competitve and will do anything to help improve my game and my teammates. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.

My freshman year wasn't all that great; we had a coach that didn't push or help me get better throughout the season. Therefore we didn't win many games, however sophomore year we hired a new girl's coach. It was his first time coaching girl's basketball so the other players and I were quite worried which was normal because that would mean we would start all over. However, he's changed the girl's basketball program at our school to where the community and the school sees us differently. Sophomore year was very much needed, yes we lost some but more than ever we came closer as a team and knew each of our strengths and weaknesses to help play together and to win games. That experience helped me grow as an individual and lead me to push myself on becoming the best player for my position.
