My name is Jada Perkins and I am currently a junior at North Side High School in Jackson, Tennessee. I am 5’5" and weigh 135 pounds. I have played basketball in school for 4 years and competitive or AAU since the age of 9. I have been the starting point guard on my High School team since sophomore year.
My freshman year I led the team in 3 pt percentage, my sophomore year I was the leader in team assists and this past year I reached my 1,000th point. I believe my biggest assets on the court are my court vision, quickness and ability to drive. I enjoy creating scoring opportunities for my teammates.
Math and Science are my strong subjects and my career goal is to become a Physical Therapist or Athletic Trainer. I look forward to college as a wonderful opportunity to pursue my education, to continue to play the game of basketball and to focus on my career development. I believe my skills and abilities could fit well into your program and enable me to contribute to the continued success of your highly regarded program.
Additionally, I am involved in my church, Top Teens of America Youth Organization, Young Scholars Academy and other areas in the community. I am also involved in the band at North Side High School, where I play the clarinet.
