It's hard for me to remember when I didn't love basketball. It was made easier growing up in East Tennessee in the shadow of Pat Summitt and the Lady Vols. When I was younger and someone would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would tell them I wanted to either play in the WNBA or be a hairdresser. Although my long term goals have changed, basketball is still a big part of them. There is nothing I would love more than to play basketball in college. I have spent most of my time playing in the 4 and 5 positions. This has enabled me to develop an offensive attack with my back to the goal or outside facing the rim. I love rebounding and I absolutely love playing hard defense. I have almost always been assigned to stop the other team's best inside player and have a lot of success in doing it. But I think there are three big things that together make me stand out from all the other talented girls: on-court intelligence, leadership with character and hard work. I believe these characteristics will help make me successful in any program.
