I started playing basketball at a very young age and fell in love immediately. Basketball runs in my family. Both of my parents played in college and taught me the love of the game. As I continued to play, I realizes I had a passion for the game and loved the thrill of being on the court. I found friendships on the court that have lasted to this day.
Throughout out my career, I have learned many lesson on the court that have also helped me off the court. My coaches have instilled in me a leadership role which I take very seriously. I have come to feel as though the court is my second home and I can not imagine my life without it.
I feel as though I can fit into most programs being the role player that I am. I am the kind of player that will do whatever is asked of her. I’m the girl that is diving on the floor for every loose ball. If you need me to rebound, I will rebound. If you need me to score, I will score etc. I feel as though I can control the court especially on defense. I see the floor very well and help make my teammates better players. I like to lead on and off the court, cheering for my team from the bench when is asked of me. I am constantly striving to get better, always looking for ways to improve my game.
Although my love for the game is very strong, so is my passion to learn and to further my education. I am in the National Honors Society and ranked 4th in my class. I hope to one day be a Physiatrist and specialize in pediatrics. With this in mind, my goal is to find the right college for for me both in athletics and academics. Ty
