Allison List '22 Recruiting Profile

Sports have been a part of  my  life for as long as I can remember.  I started dribbling a basketball at age two and even participated in a talent show when I was in kindergarten doing a two ball dribbling routine to the Harlem Globe Trotters theme song. I also  have been a multi-sport athlete most of my life playing sports such as soccer, cross country, track, and basketball, while playing on travel teams for soccer and basketball.  These sports and teams I have been apart of have shaped who I am as an athlete and a person. I decided after my sophmore year of high school that I want to play basketball at the next level in college. My coaches have told me I have a very high basketball IQ and a great court sense. I am a team player and strive to make my teammates better.  Additionally, I am extremely coachable and a leader on and off the court. Furthermore, I am a tall guard at 5'10'' and can handle the ball well, shoot from the outside, drive to the rim, and rebound. 

In the classroom I work exceptionally hard to maintain a 4.6 GPA as well as participate in local volunteer opportunities in my community. I am a member of the National Honor Society and also had the opportunity to attend the National Student Leadership Symposium this past summer where I further expanded my knowledge on leadership and development of myself as a student athlete and how to mentor others who are around me.

As I continue in my search for a college or university, I am looking for one that will support me academically as well as athletically where I will be challenged both on and off the court. I am excited to see where this takes me and am thankful to have this opportunity to be able to find a school that I can call "home".  I can't wait to be able to play basketball in college because of my love for the game and to play for all the spectators in the stands who have never seen me play!
